Fort Bend County Pump Stations Painting Project
In March 2024, Fort Bend County Pump Stations contacted CertaPro Painters® of Missouri City, TX to refresh their pumps and generators. Before starting, the pump stations were in need of a paint job to protect and match newer built facilities that had a new color scheme.
There was no access to water so we rented a water buffalo. We hauled the water on site so that we could clean the surfaces prior to painting. Prior to painting and after washing, we had to hand scrape loose paint and rusted areas. It was challenging that the facility was located in a restricted area with limited access. However, our team diligently worked on the project because they understood that the pumps stations are vital for protecting the surrounding area when there is heavy rain or extreme weather like a derecho or a hurricane. The project required a water buffalo, Industrial Enamel, and High Heat Paint.
