Power Washing & Staining Project at Sebago Lake
Last year, CertaPro Painters® of Maine had the privilege of returning to a previous client’s Sebago Lake property to maintain its beauty. This project involved power washing and staining the entire property to refresh and protect its surfaces. Having completed a similar project for them in the past, we were honored to be their choice for preserving both their home and outdoor spaces.
Our teams process began with a thorough cleaning of all included areas using a solution of TSP and bleach. This effective combination removed mold, mildew, and surface grime, ensuring a pristine base for the next steps. Once the surfaces were clean and dry, we carefully sanded back all raised wood fibers using 100-grit sandpaper, paying close attention to detail to ensure a smooth and even surface that would hold the stain beautifully.
For the siding and trim, the crew applied one coat of PPG ProLuxe Stain (formerly known as Sikkens), a premium stain known for its durability and natural finish. For the decking and dock, we used one coat of Benjamin Moore WoodLuxe Stain, chosen for its excellent outdoor performance and ability to enhance the wood’s natural beauty.
The results refreshed the property with vibrant, well-protected surfaces that showcased the charm of Sebago Lake living. It was a pleasure working with the homeowners again. Check out the before and after photos below!
