Repainted House Interior Project

Interior Painting Project
In April 2023, a family in York, Maine hired us to brighten up the interior of their home. The customer had natural wood trim on the staircase with a clear polyurethane coating. The customer wanted to maintain a natural wood look so we painted some areas while keeping the rest of the staircase natural wood. CertaPro Painters of Maine was up for the challenge and used extensive sanding and made sure that they used very close and fine cut lines. In addition to making sure the stair treads and hand rails remained as natural wood, the team had to be very careful with cut lines and sanding lines to make sure that it looks smooth and uniform as the two surfaces met. For this project, we were required to use extensive sanding on the stair spindles and stringers and trim to remove the polyurethane coating so that the primer and paint could adhere properly to the surfaces. Our team worked with the elements around them by using a lot of sandpaper and bonding primer to make sure that the paint was going to adhere properly.
Over the course of 2 days, we refreshed this home and made it captivating! We went from a brown staircase to a stunning white color. Another delighted customer! See the transformation below.
