Repainted House Exterior Project

Exterior Painting Project
In May 2023, a family in Cumberland, Maine hired us to fix the exterior of their home. This customer’s house hasn’t been painted in 15 years, it was in need of some light carpentry and some serious scarping and new coating. This house was built prior to 1978 and was contaminated with lead. CertaPro Painters of Maine was up for the challenge and used the EPA’s Renovate Right Precautions to make sure there was no contamination of lead on the job site. This involves heavy use of plastic and safety equipment for crew members. Aside from extensive cleanup, our team had to use Tyvek suits and masks while scraping. We also had to put plastic down to catch any errant chips, the chips are then wrapped up in plastic to make sure there is no contamination. This project involved scraping, light carpentry, painting, and priming.
Over the course of a week, we refreshed this home and made it astounding! Another delighted customer! See the transformation below.
