Extensive Porch Staining Project

In early September, CertaPro Painters of Louisville Metro was hired by a family in Louisville, Kentucky to fix the exterior of their home. Before starting the project, the porch was weathered and discolored. The original paint faded away, there was a moderate amount of built up dirt, and chipped paint.

Over the course of two days, we did a basic wash and filled in parts of the wood with a caulk gun despite the challenging weather. The limited surface area made it challenging to work with the power washer, but our team was able to power wash the porch to remove dirt, mildew, algae, and damaged wood fibers. Ultimately, our team altered the porch with a Canyon Brown stain.
