Tea Time Engagement Party Ideas
Posted on November 10, 2017
The best part about engagement parties is that both the bride and the groom attend, unlike every other event leading up to the big day. I say, keep the bridal shower and bachelorette simple and go all out on the one you get to spend together. Here are three different ways to throw a tea time engagement party.
The Mad Hatter
You don’t have to actually dress up like Alice and the Mad Hatter, but the top hats are a must. It can even be something all the men wear – who can get the most creative? Decorate with big clocks, colorful tea cups, eat me and drink me tags, and white roses painted red.
Country Garden
If you want to keep it a bit more simple, set up several small round tables in an outdoor, country setting. Offer every lady lace gloves, and the gents will get costume top hats. Set the tables with tea cups and a tea pot, and tiered cake trays for treats.
Marie Antoinette
This one is a bit more involved but so much fun. You can still offer gloves and top hats, and even folding fans. Then live it up like a queen; play croquet, wear colorful shoes and an over-the-top hairdo, and don’t forget the cake.
