Residential Painting
Painting a Historic Home in Louisville, Kentucky
Posted on July 27, 2018
This short video below shows the painting of a wonderful little home in Louisville, that, until recently, had gone unnoticed for years. The homeowners have done a wonderful job choosing colors, immediately increasing this home’s curb appeal. We helped the customer with carpentry along with deciding on paint systems that would protect their home and provide improved color retention. This home is being completed in a “three coat system.” We repaired as many cracked/rotten boards as financially feasible, along with scraping all of the loose and peeling paint and caulking of all vertical seems. when all of the prep work was completed, the home was primed with Pro Block by Sherwin Williams (50% tint Concord Grape – SW6559), then followed by two complete coats of Sherwin Williams Resilience. The trim was painted in Humble Gold (SW6380).
