Zero VOCs and Primers, Part 1 of 3 (Video)

Posted on February 28, 2018

Zero Voc Primers have become increasingly more common, especially in hospitals, nursing homes, and homes with small children. VOC stands for Volatile Organic Compounds, which are chemicals that let off gasses that can be harmful to people and the environment. And because of that, the government now regulates paints with VOCs. These volatile organic compounds also contribute to that new paint smell.

In the first video of a three-part series, Hunter Story and Tommy Broyles explains the benefits of Zero VOC paints and primers, as well as how to identify these types of products. Benjamin Moore, specifically, has adopted the Green Promise seal on certain paints and primers, letting you know that it is Zero VOC.

Just as many industries are going green, the painting industry has taken great strides. The expert residential and commercial painters that make up CertaPro Painters of Louisville have experience using Zero VOC paint and primers.
