7 Reading Corner Ideas for Kids
Posted on March 30, 2017
Reading is very important for a child’s cognitive development, but it also guides them to use their imagination. One way to make reading more appealing for those children who aren’t as likely to go for a book over a movie or video game is by creating a special space that makes reading more fun. This is also helpful for children who are more visual. Schools tend to make reading a timely requirement and give the child little to no choice of what to read, so it’s our job at home to help them see that it’s not just an assignment. Another helpful hint is to read to them first, do the voices and ask them how they imagine the scene in their own minds. This is a great way to bond and spark their creativity.
