The primary goal of this project was to refresh the exteriors of wooden structures and buildings within eight conservation areas managed by the GRCA, ensuring longevity, protection from the elements, and compliance with conservation guidelines.

Top priorities were to minimize disruption to guests during the busy summer months, complete projects at various geographical locations in a timely manner, and provide progress updates to various stakeholders along the way through project management. All while meeting strict safety guidelines when working on-site.

In the end, we were able to utilize multiple paint crews and their wide skill set to freshen up various outdoor structures and buildings to extend the service life of the wood at several different locations. Short notice mobilization was needed when working around weather limitations and making the most of ideal application conditions. Quick completion of areas minimized guests’ disruption and the open communication between the park staff and ourselves kept projects running smoothly.
