Commercial Case Study
Trojan Technologies
Problem To Be Solved:
Trojan Technologies asked us to paint their Water Pollution Control space. The exterior piping showed considerable rust, and the piping was in need of a protective coating Our Sherwin Williams representative suggested a Macropoxy primer and Acrolon Acrylic Polyurethane for the finish coats.
Trojan uses the site itself as both a pollution control space as well a location to demonstrate to their customers their company processes. Therefore, it was imperative this project be done well!
Problem Solver Solution:
The project area had been deemed as a Confined Space. A “spotter” certified in confined spaces had to oversee our specially trained staff at all times.
The first step was to completely drain the tank so that we could gain entry. Scaffolding was set up to allow access to the more challenging areas. We first sand blasted the areas to remove the rust. The primer had to be applied immediately after sand blasting so that the pipes did not quickly rust again as they were now exposed to the elements
Final Result:
Trojan Technologies is now proud to show their customers the Pollution Control space!
