Project: Changing the color of your trim, cabinets, and doors is an easy way to transform the look of your home. This home in Park Forest, IL had golden oak woodwork throughout the house the homeowners decided they wanted a clean and fresh finish adding white throughout the home.

Process: To get started our team at CertaPro Painters of Homewood and Kankakee County, IL began by cleaning the trim to ensure that the dust and dirt was removed. We then began sanding the trim to create a smooth surface so that the paint can adhere to it. Once the surfaces were all prepped and ready we began the painting process first by priming and then painting and spraying.

One of the more challenging parts of this project was making sure the old color did not bleed through or show through the white paint. Our team was sure to pay attention to the detail and careful to look everything over to make sure no additional coats were needed.
