Brightening the Workspace: Kankakee Plant Repaint

Scope of the Project: 

The scope of work included painting three interior walls: a large block wall spanning the production room, a shared wall with the Ink Mixing Room, and a half-height concrete wall behind the initial set of machines. All surfaces showed signs of aging and peeling paint, requiring thorough cleaning and spot priming for proper adhesion.

Special Techniques:

To protect the active workspace, the team carefully covered surrounding floors and machinery to avoid overspray and maintain a clean environment. Each wall received two coats of bright white paint, dramatically improving reflectivity and contributing to a cleaner, more efficient setting. Additionally, three overhead door frames were painted in a vivid safety red to clearly mark high-traffic areas and support workplace safety compliance.

The result was a refreshed, more professional interior that not only looked better but also enhanced the safety and functionality of the space for the plant’s staff.
