Time For An Increase In Curb Appeal
Our commercial team was contracted to paint the exterior of this Karns Foods grocery store in Duncannon, PA. The exterior consisted of 2,000 square feet of Dryvit siding and 3,000 square feet of metal roofing. The siding was faded and required new caulking for the seams around the building. In addition, the metal roofing was faded and peeling.
Painting the roof required the use of a 40-feet lift. This was particularly challenging to maneuver while customers continued to shop throughout each day. Our team coordinated efforts daily with management to systematically quarantine areas, while assuring business disruptions were minimized.

A Lot of ‘Finishing Touches’
The restoration of this exterior was a multi-step process. We pressure washed all the surfaces to remove contaminants and promote paint adhesion. We then applied primer and 2 coats of finish to the roofing, changing the color from faded green to a brilliant blue. We caulked all the seams and cracks in the Dryvit siding before applying the finish coat that closely matched the existing color.
