Townhome Painting Project in Fort Collins, CO
This was a 38 unit townhome community, all owner units governed by an HOA in Fort Collins, CO. Far from a simple painting project, this community first required extensive wood repairs on siding due to age and moisture permeation before any painting could commence. About the Project
CONDITIONS:
This particular community had waited an extended period of time in between re-paints and spent nearly four years coming to an agreement as to which colors would be used. Due to this, the community required extensive wood repair/ replacement before any painting could be done. The buildings and fences looked dingy and aged. Once completed, the entire community looked brand new. The chosen colors highlighted the uniqueness of the individual units while creating a cohesive community feel.

This extensive project took 10 months to complete.
The deferred repainting of our townhome community, which had been past due by at least seven years, was causing escalating damage to exterior trim and siding throughout the community. The deteriorating appearance of the community was exacerbated by clashing color undertones since the time of the last painting, which had introduced a new color scheme—undertones that were not discernible in the small color swatches that had guided the selection. CertaPro was one of the few companies that had the scope of operations and confidence of experience to bid on such a challenging project—which included extensive wood-damage repair and replacement before painting could begin and to not only bid on the project but to bid competitively. CertaPro provided the services of a Sherwin-Williams color consultant and also counseled on colors that their experience has proven to weather well and to be free of unlooked-for distortions.
Throughout the entire process, the CertaPro team was responsive, patient, and competent, and displayed an incredible amount of good humor. Communications often occurred outside of normal business hours—in evenings and on weekends. One time when materials were not locally available due to supply-chain issues, CertaPro obtained the materials and had them shipped from out-of-state. CertaPro’s dedication and expertise have produced highly satisfying results. The beautiful transformation has been noted not only by residents, visitors, and neighbors, but by passersby. Our townhome community has been restored to the value and prestige that its prime location and its well-above-standard amenities deserve.
