Rustic Charm Restored: Eaton Farmhouse & Shed Repaint

In August 2025, our team transformed a farmhouse in Eaton, Colorado.

Years of sun, wind, and moisture had left the siding, trim, and shed weathered, with peeling paint, dirt buildup, and failed caulking.

The homeowners wanted a durable paint system that would restore the farmhouse’s rustic charm while providing long-term protection against Colorado’s tough climate.

PROJECT SCOPE:

The project covered the front, rear, and left sides of the home along with the shed. Our team began with a full power wash to remove dust, dirt, and chalking, followed by careful hand scraping of peeling paint on the wood siding and trim.

Bare wood areas were spot primed, and critical joints were recaulked to ensure long-term protection. We then repainted the board-and-batten siding, clapboard siding, soffits, fascia, gutters, downspouts, and all window and door frames.

The deck, steps, and railing were stained with Sherwin-Williams SuperDeck Solid Color Stain for added durability, while the shed received a complete refresh with new paint on its siding, fascia, and doors. The chosen palette of bright white accented by rich red trim, soffits, and gable end siding, gave the farmhouse a timeless, classic Colorado look.

SPECIAL TECHNIQUES:

To complete the project efficiently and with precision, our team utilized ladders, power washers, and hand tools to reach elevated areas and thoroughly remove peeling paint.

Professional-grade sprayers were used to achieve smooth, even coverage across large siding and trim surfaces, while brushes and rollers provided crisp detail work on fascia, window frames, and other fine architectural elements. This combination of tools and techniques ensured both durability and a high-quality finish.
