Sports Painters of Fort Bend
Constellation Field is home to the Sugar Land Skeeters of Atlantic League Professional Baseball. Minor league ballparks frequently offer an array of activities outside of the game to further fan engagement.
CertaPro Painters® of Central Fort Bend, TX was contacted in September 2019 to help improve a few sections of the park to enhance the experience for fans and to provide an updated feel for those who work daily at the field.
A customer service office was updated during a new commercial with the team mascot (Swatson) and the splash pad area was updated with a clean and fresh new look. The original baseball diamond design was faded and dirty, in desperate need of an update for future enjoyment during use.
CHALLENGES
Unique projects like this one contain their own set of hurdles. Two projects at the same location requires coordination among the team and communication with the stadium’s management.
The tasks also required baseball-focused designs to be applied, namely on the splash pad where a baseball diamond would be present. The splash pad was also coated with an epoxy finish which requires experienced team members to mix and spread properly.
CONDITIONS:
- Faded Splash Pad – The play area had faded over time without any painting updates to the surface
- Dirt Accumulation – Dirt had gathered in the splash pad area after years of frequent use by stadium attendees
- Outdated Painting – The paint on the walls of the customer service office were worn and in need of a more contemporary look
Project Involvement
- Preparation – CertaPro’s professionals masked the splash pad to ensure the diamond design came out perfectly. The epoxy product required special attention and mixing. The surfaces were cleaned for a smooth surface to apply the paint.
- Painting – CertaPro Painters® of Central Fort Bend, TX applied paint to the splash pad and office. An epoxy mixture was used to seal the splash pad for a long lasting finish in the high-use water area.

BEFORE PHOTOS
CertaPro’s team took pictures of the splash pad before renovations. This section of Constellation Field was in need of a more contemporary look to match the appeal of the stadium.
Worn Colors
The greens and browns became incredibly muted and in need of an update with a fresh coat of paint.
Painting at Constellation Field
CertaPro Painters® of Central Fort Bend, TX took pictures of the wall painting that took place for the commercial with the team mascot, Swatson. The video shoot brought along a striking color change to the Customer Service Area.
THE FINAL RESULT
CertaPro’s professionals gathered images of the finished product at Constellation Field. The splash pad was given a beautiful new, sealed appearance that will last for years.

The splash pad was completely restored to provide a brand new feel to this section of the stadium.

Masking the splash pad flooring provided a professionally applied baseball diamond design.
Vibrant Colors
The newly painted recreation area now had deeper colors and contrasts between the greens and browns used to complete the design.
