Featured Residential Painting Project – Brick Limewash & Window Restoration
In March of 2022 a residential customer in Fayetteville contacted us to help with limewashing the brick exterior of their home. The home is an older, brick house with a yellow hue to the bricks. At time of our first assessment we noticed the historic red windows had severe peeling paint and needed attention. The client wanted a more neutral color for the brick and for the red windows to be eliminated and better match the color of the house.
This project included:
- Scraping, re-glazing, and priming for the windows
- Cleaning and limewashing of the exterior brick surfaces
- Romabio products were used for the brick surfaces offering a modern durable finish for the brick
Historic Window Repair & Restoration
A portion of this project was dedicated to updating the historic windows on the home. Windows like these are common in NW Arkansas, many home owners want to keep the windows vs replacing due to their build quality and unique look they offer. Pictured here was the state of the windows before the project began. The paint was severely peeling, and potentially more permanent damage was on the verge of starting to set in. Luckily we were able to fully restore the windows and bring them back to a like-new look and feel.
Our crew scraped all the old paint off the window trim, re-glazed the surfaces, primed and painted the windows. See the after photos below to see the dramatic transformation after the project was completed.
