The Christmas and Candles Shop is located on the serene and picturesque bank of the Lile Pigeon River in The Apple Barn Village, directly off the parkway in Sevierville. As you step inside the 6000 square foot store, you will be greeted by glairing lights, beautifully decorated Christmas trees, holiday decorations and the tantalizing aroma of freshly poured candles.
Conditions at start of project:
The outside of the building was fading and required quite a few wood repairs to include: 38′ of the fascia at the front, 20′ of soffit at the front, 10′ of 1x 6 ceiling trim at the front & 2′ of soffit on the left side
Project Involvement:
Master carpentry to include replacing 38′ of the fascia at the front of the building, 20′ of sot at the front of the building, 10′ of 1×6 ceiling trim at the front & 2′ of sot on the left side of the building. Painting components included: all guttering & fascia, sots, Masonite fascia boards, downspouts, green block foundation, 6×6 green posts, doors & frames, window casings, and Christmas red letters. We also had quite a bit of carpentry involved as well as maneuvering around a very busy building located in a busy shopping plaza
Special challenges:
Due to the store’s location, we started at sunrise every day to limit customer interaction and store interruption
Before Photos

Front Before Painting
The green banisters were starting to fade due to sun exposure and time, it was ready for a new coat of paint.
Covered Walkways
The property features a large covered walkway that would be painted as part of the project.
Seams showing
The ceilings of the porch area needed some attention and repairs, seams were showing and the area had not been painted in some time.
Red Doors
The store features a festive red door with green trim, we would match these colors to the brand specifications and update with new coats of paint.
Exterior Walls
There were areas outside the building that were dirty and would need power washing prior to painting.

Repaired Porch Ceilings
The ceilings along the walkway were repaired and painted now offer a smooth surface with bright white paint.
Front of building - After
After painting the green banisters are no longer faded and the front has a clean welcoming appearance.
Updated Walkway / Exterior
There was a lot of trim and detail involved with painting this area, several sections of wood and trim were also repaired.
Window Trim Painted
One of the many windows on the front of the building that were painted with green trim.
Updated Red Doors
The iconic red doors were color matched and painted, the color is clean and vibrant after new paint was applied.
