Clarksville Academy Baseball Field in Clarksville, TN
The Proposal
Clarksville Academy selected CertaPro Painters® of Clarksville, TN/Hopkinsville, KY to restore the outfield wall at the Clarksville Academy Baseball Field in Clarksville, TN. The wall’s paint was heavily weathered, showing significant chipping, peeling, fading, and surface dirt. The goal of the project was to refresh the exterior appearance of the field, protect the metal structure, and bring the wall’s blue color and field distance numbers back to a clean, vibrant, professional finish.
The Process
Our team approached the project with careful coordination to ensure the baseball field remained protected while work was completed. The scope included scraping all loose and peeling paint, pressure washing the metal wall panels, and caulking open screw holes to prevent future moisture intrusion. We masked and covered the ball-field signage attached to the wall to prevent overspray.
Once preparation was complete, we spot-primed exposed screws, then applied two coats of SuperPaint® semi-gloss for both durability and a consistent sheen. A key challenge involved accurately color-matching the existing blue used on the outfield wall and ensuring clean separation between the blue surface, the yellow trim, and the freshly repainted white distance numbers.
Through close attention to detail and constant quality checks, our crew maintained sharp lines, strong adhesion, and uniform coverage throughout the project. The work was completed over a 3-day period in October 2025.
The Result
The restored outfield wall now features a crisp, vibrant blue finish that enhances the overall look of the Clarksville Academy Baseball Field. The repainted distance numbers are clean and highly visible, and the metal wall is better protected from the elements thanks to proper prep work and high-quality coatings.
