Project Details

This Springboro HOA community project involved fully rebuilding foot bridges along popular walking paths. The bridges’ initial condition was concerning, with faded stain, chipping, rotting wood, and rusted support beams separating from their foundations. Recognizing the safety hazards posed by these structural issues, CertaPro Painters® of Cincinnati’s carpentry team undertook a complete rebuild to restore and fortify these pathways.

Steps Taken to Rebuild

1. Demolition and Removal: Our team carefully removed the damaged wood railings, floorboards, and rusted metal beams without disturbing the concrete foundations.
2. Metal Beam Replacement: We secured new, rust-resistant metal beams to the concrete foundations, forming a solid base for the new bridges.
3. Wood Floor and Railings Installation: With sturdy metal supports in place, we installed new wood floors and railings, prioritizing stability and safety.
4. Final Wood Staining: To protect the new wood from weathering and provide an attractive finish, we applied a high-quality stain.

Special Challenges

One of the primary challenges involved securing the new metal beams to the existing concrete foundations. Ensuring these were properly attached was essential for bridge stability and safety before progressing with the rest of the build.
