Seasons Retirement Community
Featured Commercial Project
Seasons Retirement Community
CertaPro Painters of Cincinnati was contracted to paint Seasons Retirement Community – a large complex with multiple buildings to support different forms of senior living- independent living, assisted living, short-term care, etc. The main building is a five story apartment-style home housing many types of senior lifestyles. The second is a small scale assisted living home.
The large main building is brick with a lot of wood trim and fascia boards. It also has a large carport in front. In multiple areas the wood was warped, rotting or falling apart. The paint was also peeling in many areas. if the wood was not peeling it was fading in many spots with significant dirt buildup. The second small building is brick with wood trim and fascia boards and has with two wood carports. This building was not as bad, but the wood was dingy and rotting in certain areas.
The project involved a significant amount of prep work like pressure washing, scraping and sanding. Carpentry work was also a major factor in the project. Many parts of the wood needed to be completely replaced. There were drywall repairs and placements needed on the carports. The exterior painting was help up because of the major prep and carpentry work needed.
The previous carpentry work was not done correctly. The previous contractor covered or filled the rotting or non-existent wood with tape. While pressure washing, the tape was peeling off and flying around exposing areas that had severe damage and needed more extensive carpentry work.
Due to the size of the larger building, special equipment needed to be rented to reach all areas.
