Scherzinger Pest Control Exterior Painting in Cincinnati

CertaPro Painters of Cincinnati was contracted to paint Scherzinger Pest Control in Cincinnati in June 2020. Scherzinger Pest Control is a company that specializes in neutralizing residential and commercial pest problems. Their industrial warehouse building is located in Cincinnati, Ohio. The front end of the building is used for their office space and the back end is used for incoming/outgoing service vehicles with multiple garage entries.

The building was sectioned out in the original color of white and tan. It looked to have never been painted or washed and was faded. The blue vertical ribbon on the caulking of the expansion joints were faded and peeling away. The garage door paint was chalky. The yellow caution bollards were faded to almost white which made them harder to see when pulling in and out of the garage doors.

The project started with pressure washing and scraping any loose chips before painting. The prep work involved cutting out/scraping the old caulk from the current expansion joint seams. Once it was all of the old caulk was scraped, we installed new backer rods and fresh caulk in all of the expansion joint seems. Then the building was painted in a new color scheme with multiple colors. The areas being painted included: concrete wall panels, doors, door frames, garage doors, bollards, meters that were previously painted, gutters and downspouts.

The project involved extensive work on the expansion joints. There was over 1,200 linear feet of expansion joints that needed the old caulk scraped/dug out and replaced with backer rod and new caulk.

The project had all new colors and a new color scheme. Each vertical section of the building sides was a different color.
