Refacing Norwood Police Department

CertaPro Painters of Cincinnati was contracted to update the look of the Norwood Police Department. The building services the Greater Cincinnati Metro area with police services. It’s over 6,000 square feet.

When work began, the building had not been painted in many years. In addition to a new coating, the plan was to create a complete face lift for the headquarters with a new color palette. There were multiple areas where the paint was peeling off of the block surfaces which required more preparation.

Challenges

The building maintenance had left the paint in a peeling and failing state. Preparations would have to include scraping, power washing and repairing the areas to make them suitable to accept a new coating.

We worked through the project while the police station was operational. The team had to make sure that there were no gaps in the scheduling and logistics side of this job to make sure that our crew and the police staff were not in each others way.

CONDITIONS

Peeling Paint – The paint was left peeling and needed to be removed before adding a new coating.
Large, Active Work Environment – Scheduling and work areas were limited to allow the police to continue to work.

PROJECT INVOLVEMENT

Preparation – Our team prepared the building with power washing and light carpentry repairs.
Painting – The exterior of the building was painted with a new color palette to refresh the police station.
