Description of Project: The building still had its original paint color. It has a dark brick column in the front with original beige accents—concrete pillars and awnings. We painted the exterior a more modern color, which really brightened up the building and added to its curb appeal.

Project Involvement: The project involved the preparation and exterior painting of the building. We started work by preparing all areas by pressure washing and caulking any previously caulked areas that were failing.

We then applied two coats of paint to the previously painted concrete, elevator room on the roof, fencing around the HVAC unit, and metal caps. The brick required a cleaning solution wash and then a coat of primer. Once the primer was set, we applied two finish coats.

Special Challenges:The brick required a separate washing technique. We also had to paint multiple coats so the different areas would absorb the paint.

Special Equipment:A boom lift and water trailer were used to reach the upper stories and pressure wash the building.
