Industrial Building Exterior Repaint

Scope of the Project:
At the outset, the building was in significant need of attention. The exterior surfaces were weathered and deteriorating, with peeling paint on block walls, chalky and faded metal siding, and rusted or faded safety features such as bollards, railings, and valves. Addressing these conditions required thorough surface preparation, including pressure washing, hand cleaning, scraping, wire brushing, and grinding of rusted areas. Bare and corroded spots were spot-primed, and all previously caulked seams and voids were re-caulked to ensure a clean and sealed finish.

Special techniques:
Following preparation, two coats of finish paint were applied to a wide range of surfaces: block walls, metal siding, awnings, doors, dock equipment, safety fixtures, gas lines, and more. The complexity of the project stemmed from the variety of materials involved, each requiring different preparation and painting methods. To tackle the scale and access challenges, the crew utilized a water trailer for washing and employed lifts and scaffolding for elevated or hard-to-reach areas.

This project not only refreshed the appearance of the facility but also enhanced its protection and safety, making it a standout example of detailed commercial painting work.
