Get to Know CertaPro Painters® of Charlottesville Team Member: Mark Stephens!
Mark graduated from USNA and flew helicopters for the US Navy. After 10 years of service, he discovered he was better at construction than flying and started a CertaPro Painters Franchise in Hampton Roads. Twenty years later, Mark has worked mainly for small businesses and received his MBA from William & Mary. These companies have all experienced growth and significant increases in sales, production, and repeat customers. Mark’s entrepreneurial attitude, good customer service, and desire to help his community make him an excellent commercial manager for CertaPro Painters of Charlottesville.
Mark and his family decided to move to Charlottesville after visiting his eldest daughter numerous times while she was at UVA. Outside of work, Mark enjoys spending time with his wife, four children, and their dog Indi, a black flat coat retriever (who is convinced everyone wants to be her best friend). Mark and Laura spend their time jogging and hiking in the local area, coaching rec soccer, and are often found collapsed by their fire after a long day, reading a book.
2 Truths and a Lie:
I have driven a submarine & a ship, flown a helicopter & jumped from an airplane…I have been hiking on the Appalachian Trail & been chased by a black bear…I have been in charge of repainting the CVN-69 USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, an Aircraft Carrier.
