Winter Dining Room Décor Ideas

Posted on December 30, 2019

Just because the holidays are over doesn’t mean your house has to go back to default. Decorate for the winter months beyond Christmas and Hannukah. If you are having family over for the holidays it is likely, you’ll be spending a good chunk of time eating in the dining room. If you are looking for some easy, fun and creative ways to help turn your dining into the perfect dining spot from CertaPro Miami.

Create a Snowy Scene on your Dining Room Table

Make your dining room table the main focus of the room. All you need in faux snow, miniature pine trees, battery operated string lights and a winter village set which is optional.

Decorate the Mantel

If you have a mantel in your dining room, be sure to decorate it! This can be done a variety of different ways. However, one of our personal favorites involves lots of garland and add ornaments. Drape the faux or real garland over the mantel and then add lights and ornaments. For an extra touch you can place large white candles behind the garland to create a classy holiday vibe.

Create a Winter Center Piece for the Table

You will need small pine cones, greenery, and winter flowers. Then arrange them to your liking.

Hang Snowflakes from the Chandelier

Most dining rooms have some sort of large light fixture that is over the table. This is the perfect place to hang snowflakes.

Natural Garland

Adding natural garland to the room is the simplest most classic way to give it that cozy holiday feel. You can add lights to the garland to give it an added touch.

Popsicle Snowflakes

Use Popsicle sticks to create snowflake décor. You can spray paint them silver, gold, white, or any color that matches with the aesthetic in your home. Each one will be unique, and this could be a fun project to do as a family. Once you are done you can hang them on any blank wall space you might have in the dining area.

Mason Jar Candle Holder

Use mini pinecones, faux snow and pine to decorate the mason jar and then add a small candle inside for a beautiful winter scene in a jar.
