School Logo Bleacher Project at Valor Christian
In May 2020, CertaPro Painters® of Castle Rock, CO received a request from Valor Christian to refinish their concrete bleachers with a school decal. The bleachers were bare concrete and littered with gum and stain spots, requiring professional attention. CertaPro took the time to clean the area, apply a blue paint base, and tape off the logo for a complete transformation. Valor Christian took a chance on an outside company as they normally do their own painting but were incredibly pleased with the final result. Certapro Painters are equipped to handle projects of this magnitude, providing excellent service and leaving customers satisfied.
CHALLENGES:
CHALLENGES:Exterior commercial projects contain their own set of challenges. The bleachers required a concrete conditioner coating, along with a precise taping to make sure the school logo turned out as expected. Working on large sections of a structure requires cooperation and proper planning among the painters and project leaders.
Painting tasks also require an assortment of equipment and guidelines to ensure the safety and efficiency of the staff.
CONDITIONS:
- Bare concrete – CertaPro addressed the bare concrete with a blue paint base.
- Gum – Pieces of gum required scraping the entirety of the bleacher section before painting
- Stains and spots – The bleachers needed to be power washed to lift the many stains and spots.
- Screw holes – Screws holes needed to be filled to provide a smooth finish.
PROJECT INVOLVEMENT:
- Prep – Clean and prep all surfaces for paint, fix issues with gum, stains, and screw holes.
- Paint – A large section of the school bleachers were taped and painted.

Josh is originally from Indiana. He went to college at Indiana University in Bloomington majoring in both Marketing and Professional Sales. During his time at IU, he was actively involved with the second largest student-run fundraiser in the country supporting the local children’s hospital in Indianapolis. His previous work experience includes working at the 3rd largest insurance brokerage in the world, where he was able to get top of the line training in both sales and marketing.
Josh moved to Colorado be in a place where he could enjoy spending almost every weekend outside. During the winters you can find Josh now skiing down his favorite mountains, although never having skied before moving to Colorado. During the summers Josh loves to go hiking, camping, and enjoys spending time with his friends at live music events.
