About the Project
Condition of Building:
CertaPro painters of Castle Rock was called upon to help solve a unique situation for a customer who distributes gas and diesel within a populated area. The customer was unable to remove the tanks and move them for refurbishment, so they had to be painted on-site. The rusted tanks had to be wire brushed, primed and painted to extend their life. Once the tanks were moved in anyway, the distributor would loose their Grandfathered status with the City, be out of compliance and have to move their operation.
Project Involvement:
CertaPro painters very carefully used powertools and wire brushes to knock off all of the rust to the tanks and fueling platform before spot priming and painting. CertaPro used a Hotsy and a degreaser to remove buildup on the tanks and platform to make the surface ready for painting.
Special Challenges:
CertaPro painters brought in their local Sherwin-Williams Industrial representative to advise on what paints should be used to complete the project.

This project was completed in 9 days during the summer of 2022.

Josh is originally from Indiana. He went to college at Indiana University in Bloomington majoring in both Marketing and Professional Sales. During his time at IU, he was actively involved with the second largest student-run fundraiser in the country supporting the local children’s hospital in Indianapolis. His previous work experience includes working at the 3rd largest insurance brokerage in the world, where he was able to get top of the line training in both sales and marketing.
Josh moved to Colorado be in a place where he could enjoy spending almost every weekend outside. During the winters you can find Josh now skiing down his favorite mountains, although never having skied before moving to Colorado. During the summers Josh loves to go hiking, camping, and enjoys spending time with his friends at live music events.
