The Building:

The professionals at CertaPro Painters® of Boca Raton, FL were hired to paint the entire exterior of the local Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce building.

Scope of Project:

Our team was tasked with changing the entire color scheme of the building. The project involved stucco work prior to painting by stucco specialists, power washing, priming/sealing, painting. The project took place in May 2022 and took about 2 weeks to complete.

Process:

Stucco

At the time the work began, there were major repairs that needed to be done to the stucco.
We collaborated and coordinated with a stucco specialist to re-stucco the rear wall of the building and property wall. All the stucco work was done by the specialist referred by our team.

After the stucco specialist was finished, we allowed the stucco to cure for more than the recommended 8 days then started the painting process.

Painting

The painting project scope of work entailed repainting exterior walls, trim, the metal roof, logo, monument wall, utility doors, and aluminum glass doors and window frames.

We partnered with our assigned Sherwin Williams Coatings Representative to prepare Paint Specifications that we followed.

Before we started painting, the team power washed all surfaces in the project scope. Our team used a hot primer on the new stucco areas and acrylic sealer on previously painted surfaces before applying finish coats.

Due to the building’s location on a major road with constant car & train traffic, Sherwin Williams recommended using their Loxon Self-Cleaning paint to protect from significant debris build up and increase longevity of the paint job.

Special Challenges/Techniques:

The business was open as well as other tenants operating in the building, so our professional crews worked around the businesses’ schedules. The Chamber also held activities, such as meetings and events while work was in progress, so our crews worked around parking and crowds. We worked in coordination with staff to ensure the safety of workers, tenants, and guests involved.

Because the building is located within the city of Boca limits, it required a painting permit from the city of Boca Raton so we initiated and facilitated to get approval of colors and appeared in front of The Community of Appearance Board.
Our crews used a lift while working on the project as they weren’t able to safely access certain areas of the roof because it was steep and too dangerous to walk on the surface.
We are honored to have worked with the Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce!

“I had a wonderful experience working with Cynthia & her team. Every aspect of the job was done very professionally and right on time. She came out every time I needed to discuss something or had something that needed an opinion or suggestion. I would highly recommend her. In fact, if I ever need any personal work done I will most definitely use her service. It is rare to come across a company that was on the ball every time. Great job!” – Firdaus D.
