Commercial Case Study
Urban Hardware
Urban Hardware Commercial Painting Project
Urban Hardware is a line of hardware stores that are rapidly expanding. The line wanted to open a new location in an empty shell that was previously being used as a drug store. The shell was in need of a little bit of work before the store was able to open, work that CertaPro Painters® of Alpharetta was happy to complete. Many of the columns in the building were completely bare studs that had to be wrapped with sheetrock. There were also many holes in the walls that needed to be patched before painting.
The project involved painting and some light repairs to drywall and carpentry. We had to wrap the bare columns and repair whatever sheetrock already existed. We also had to prep and prime the areas where the wallpaper had been removed prior to painting. The walls were specific to each department so we had to mask the walls to ensure a clean break in the color.
The project was completed in early May, taking one week from start to finish. The biggest challenge regarding the project was the tight timeline. While the work was being completed shelving and merchandise were also arriving. This put some added pressure on getting the project done on time. Due to this, a scissor lift was used to speed up the painting on some of the higher walls.
