Orchards of East Cherokee Commercial Painting Project

The Orchards of East Cherokee is an over 55 community with 140 residences ranging from detached single-family homes to attached ranch-style homes arranged in duplexes and quadplexes. The buildings themselves were in decent shape, but were really in need of a paint job. A few of the buildings also needed wood to be repaired or replaced, either from rotten wood or the previous paint peeling off leaving the wood bare.

CertaPro Painters® of Alpharetta was contracted in March of 2023 to paint and repair 3 buildings, totaling 12 individual units. We itemized and performed all of the needed repairs. Each unit was pressure-washed and allowed time to dry before fixing any problem wood areas with new wood, scraping and sanding, and applying an oil-based primer. After these preparations were complete, each unit was painted in their original colors.

From start to finish, this project took our commercial painting team 2 weeks to complete. The biggest challenge was making sure we were minimally disruptive to the residents and to the landscaping while doing our preparation, repairs, and painting. Overall, we were able to work through this project’s various challenges and enjoyed doing so.
