Commercial Case Study

Dover Township’s Brookside Park is a historical Park that was opened in 1901. It has a colorful history and houses six buildings that include a carousel building and dance hall that the township now rents out to various groups and organizations as well as the general public for weddings and other social events.

Our team was contracted by Dover Township in April 2023 to paint all 6 buildings in the park.  The project involved prep and painting of the barn, carousel building, restrooms, and three other buildings. The buildings were dull, peeling, and in need of a refresh and new accent colors.  Park officials wanted to maintain a “historical” park feel by keeping the colors close to the original colors used for the carousel house. Also, with a rental season approaching, the township wanted the project to be completed on schedule.

Overall, a crew of four completed the project in one week which included extensive scraping on the original wood buildings. The township staff members were pleased with the outcome. All buildings look new and match one another.  The new green accents compliment the main color.  The park has an updated look and is ready for the busy rental season.
