Before: The home exuded a nostalgic charm, with its walls adorned in a classic red that harkened back to earlier design trends. The Great Room and Sun Room were particularly emblematic of this bygone era, each featuring two walls painted in this once-trendy hue. While the color held sentimental value, it was clear that the time had come for a modern refresh to align the home’s aesthetic with contemporary tastes.

After: Our team embarked on a transformative journey, introducing a palette that would breathe new life into the space. Our client selected Benjamin Moore’s Edgecomb Gray as the primary hue, a versatile and warm greige that instantly updated the atmosphere with its understated elegance. The Great Room’s fireplace became a focal point, now accentuated with the sophisticated Hale Navy, adding depth and a touch of modernity. In the Sun Room, the serene Revere Pewter provided a soft, welcoming ambiance, harmoniously completing the home’s transition into the present day.

The result was a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity, a home rejuvenated with colors that not only reflect current trends but also respect the legacy of the space. Our client was thrilled with the transformation, which was not just a change of colors but a renewal of the home’s spirit.

What did the project involve? The revitalization of this cherished home began at the highest points, with our team meticulously repairing an old ceiling repair and a crack in the cathedral ceiling near the kitchen. Our expertise shone as we seamlessly blended these fixes into the existing structure, ensuring integrity and aesthetics.

Next, we turned our attention to the walls, addressing nail pops near the bedroom entry and loose, bubbling tape in the family room. Each repair was executed with precision, setting a flawless canvas for the transformation ahead.

A high-quality primer was then applied, its sole purpose to cloak the vibrant red walls in preparation for their modern makeover. This critical step was the foundation for what was to come.

Finally, the walls and ceiling were adorned with fresh coats of paint. Benjamin Moore’s colors—Edgecomb Gray and Hale Navy in the Great Room, and Revere Pewter in the Sun Room—were chosen for their contemporary appeal, enveloping the home in an aura of sophistication and tranquility.
