Hayfields Café – Retail / Restaurant
Project: Hayfields Café in North Salem, NY is an iconic establishment for enjoying a coffee, a sandwich, picking up flowers and housewarming gifts, and they arguably host the best classic car enthusiast showcase in Westchester on the first Sunday of every month. The CertaPro project goal was to upgrade the look and feel of the café sales area by replacing the well-worn epoxy floor with a new Citadel Polyurea full chip system and repainting the walls in a custom color.
Process:
Step 1 – Diamond Grinding concrete slab to remove contaminates and prepare coating
Step 2 – Saw cut all floor cracks and repair with fortification
Step 3 – Install Polyaspartic Polyurea Base coat
Step 4 – Broadcast chip system to full rejection
Step 6 – Removal of excess chips and clean floor
Step 7 – Installation of second coat of epoxy clear coat
Products Used:
Floors = Polyurea 350 base with a full broadcast of vinyl 1/16” chip in custom ‘Hayfields’ color, Top coat RG80, Final Coat Polyurea 1HD
Painting = Benjamin Moore Regal Select in Custom “Hayfields Grey” matte finish
Results: Hayfields Cafe recently underwent a significant makeover, replacing its flooring with the high-quality Citadel Full Chip System. The aim was to enhance the daily operations and special events environment. Key objectives included upgrading the flooring, improving the overall ambiance, maximizing event space, ensuring a long-term flooring solution, and strategically utilizing the floor for marketing. The sales area underwent a thorough transformation with the addition of a fresh coat of paint to the walls, ceilings, doors, and counter, adding a finishing touch to enhance its overall appeal.
Wow! It was quite stressful to undertake a makeover of our Hayfields café space, but we are so glad that we partnered with CertaPro.
