Commercial Case Study
Office Building - Exterior Painting
Project: CertaPro Painters® of Westchester, NY and Southern CT was selected by the Paterson School District to paint the exterior of their office building in Paterson, NJ. The project was a complete repaint and color change of 25,000 square feet of exterior EIFS façade.
Process: CertaPro Painters® Commercial Services dispatched a crew to assess, patch and remediate damaged areas, a major concern for the client. The building was then prepped and our crew repainted the entire façade with Sika Thorolastic-750, a water-based, 100% acrylic, high build elastomeric waterproof coating designed for above-grade concrete, masonry, stucco, and EIFS. The project included the façade, metal doors, trim, handrails, guardrails, and access ladders.
Products and Equipment Used: Sika Thorolastic 750, Colors: Cadet Blue and Colonial White. Lifts included a 65-foot articulating boom lift and an 80-foot articulating boom lift
Results: Project was produced per customer specifications, on budget and on timeline. The building was fully operational during our work operations. CertaPro Painters® worked in tandem with RD Management and Paterson School District’s Facilities Director to reach all targeted goals for the project.
This was a very satisfying and rewarding project to work on with CertaPro Painters and the Patterson School District. There were many logistics to manage, weather challenges, color changes, commercial grade lifts and equipment, and a very active job site. In the end, everyone really performed well, expectations were met or exceeded, and the outcome was fantastic.
