Commercial Case Study
High Point Condominium
Highrise Condo Painting with Swing Stages
Project: High Point condominium association is a series of 12-story apartment building that is home to 450+ unit owners and 1,000+ residents. The homeowner’s association hired CertaPro Painters® for our expertise in large scale commercial work.
Process: This project scope included refacing the exterior stucco on three 12-story buildings, followed by applying 2 coats of elastomeric waterproofing system. Large scale equipment used to tackle this project included multiple swing stage rigs, two 185 foot lifts, and the project was staffed 25 painter and stucco installers. On site we held daily safety meetings, while preforming weekly safety inspections to ensure a safe working environment for both residents and our team.
Products Used: Jo-max cleaner was used to clean the building, BASF Stucco system was used to reface the building, followed by applying an elastomeric waterproofing system. Both Sherwin Williams and Sika products were used. A spectrophotometer was used to create a perfect color match for this project.
Results: At CertaPro Painters® we believe the key to success on a project of this scale is to have a fully formed game-plan to provide great results but also to be able to manage the expectations of all unit owners and residents. With this combination of pre-production planning and daily execution, CertaPro was able to complete this project in under 6 months, meeting our client’s deadline with minimum disruption to the residents.
Working on the High Point project was certainly one of the most challenging, and yet at the same time rewarding projects I have worked on in my career in painting and my 10+ years with CertaPro Painters®. We had to be on top of logistics each and every day for several months, coordinate with other trades and communicate with the homeowners on an ongoing basis. We were confident going in, and now are just that much more confident of the abilities of the CertaPro Painters® Commercial Team to tackle big, complicated projects for just about any client.
