Commercial Case Study
Educational Facility
Educational Facility Painting
Project: Educational Facility in Dutchess County, New York. Scope of work included necessary preparation and color change to all surfaces in common areas of school dormitory, including hallways, stairwells and basement areas.
Process: Some of the metal door frames and stair-casings were beginning to rust, so after preparation on those surfaces CertaPro applied a full coat KemBond HS Universal Metal Primer followed by 2 top-coats of Sherwin Williams Pro-Industrial DTM. In our experience, this has proven an effective paint system for inhibiting the spread of rust and providing a long-lasting, durable finish. All non-metal surfaces were prepared, primed and painted using Sherwin Williams commercial grade products.
Products Used: Kembond HS Universal Metal Primer, Sherwin Williams Multipurpose Acrylic Primer, Sherwin Williams Promar 200 Interior Latex Paints, Sherwin Williams Pro-Industrial Direct to Metal Acrylic Paints
Results: All specified surfaces are refurbished achieving a clean and uniform look with a more modern aesthetic, and painted with durable coatings for long lasting results in an educational facility environment.
We have contracted with CertaPro for the past 2 summers to paint the interior of 2 dormitories, Hudson and Angell Hall. Both projects were large scale and had a small window of time in which they had to be completed. CertaPro and their skilled painters were successful with completing the job on time and in making the dorms look like new. Their rates are reasonable, and their work is high quality. CertaPro management is very organized and dedicated and it was evident throughout the duration of each project. We will continue to include CertaPro in all of our RFP’s for painting on campus. Thank you CertaPro!
