Apartment Community Painting Project in Fairfax, Virginia
This is a 12 – 4 story building apartment community containing 460 homes managed by Greystar Management. We power washed the buildings and painted 82 garage doors, all wood trim, railings, columns, balcony ceilings, corner boards, fascia. This project required the use of an 80ft articulated lift and 60 ft ladders. This community had not been painted in the last 10 years. The surfaces that we painted were dingy and gray with spotty mold on all of the surfaces. The garage doors were white and we changed the color to 1 Sherwin Williams Iron Ore, a dark grey. This required a prime and two color coats.
CHALLENGES:
CHALLENGES:Many of the apartment buildings are 3 stories high and in areas where residents need to get in and out of their driveways / garages. We had to set up an articulating lift to reach some of the surfaces, and position the lift in ways to not interfere with the coming and going of residents in the community.
CONDITIONS:
This community had not been painted in the last 10 years. The surfaces that we painted were dingy and gray with spotty mold on all of the surfaces. Some sections of the exterior had wood rot that required carpentry and wood replacement services to repair

THE FINAL RESULTS
The exterior is updated with new colors for the garage doors and repaired sections of wood and trim. The building looks fantastic with results that will last for many years to come.
