Gymnasium Painting in Maplewood
CertaPro Painters of Twin Cities East was contracted to paint the Cesar Chavez gymnasium located in Maplewood during COVID-19. Organizing meals and activities in the gym was moved so we could get it quickly painted and get them back! They needed a a good color match, some lightening, and a lift due to the height, a logo was placed on the fresh paint job for some added school spirit.
We power rolled the gym and used scissor lift to work quickly. Straight and even lines were needed to ensure the stripes looked great. Due to the boldness of the colors. A high solids paint was used to ensure we could get good even coverage . We used a gloss paint so they could clean it more easily.
We used a 30′ scissor lift and a power roller. A projection screen was used to put the logo on the wall. After we were done , the darkness of the gym bothered a couple of staff members, to bridge the gap of decision makers we added a cream stripe to lighten it all up! Everyone was very happy with the compromise !
