Church Sanctuary and Common Areas in Minneapolis
CertaPro Painters of Twin Cities Least was contracted to paint a large church facility including the common areas and sanctuary. When work began, the looks was very outdated. The church hired a designer to help with not only colors on the wall but also flooring, band space, and the outdated sounds screens on the wall needed a solution to go with there new scheme.
There were smoke stains on the walls and the ceiling had never been painted making it quite the eye sore! With the help of the designer, darkening some accent pieces and lightening the walls updated the space. We coordinated work with lifts and a lot of protection so that the group didn’t have to move pews around for our work.
Our work included:
- We protected the sanctuary with heavy duty plastic and used a 70′ atrium lift, 2 30′ man lifts to accomplish painting.
- Longer spray hoses to reach the ceiling.
- Heavy duty masking so we could move around and not damage any floors or pews.
- Oil primers for the stain.
- Long working days to get it done in 3 weeks before they were going to open back up for mass.
