Commercial Painting Project in St Petersburg, FL
The Florida Nest, a full service vacation rental property management company operating in St Petersburg and Orlando, inquired CertaPro Painters® of St Petersburg and North Bradenton, FL, to revamp their headquarters.
Upon arrival, it was evident that the company’s facility had not been renovated or maintained for quite some time. Rust stains and peeling paint were visible all around the building and both staircases had rusted completely, rendering them unsafe for use. Moreover, there were several doors that couldn’t be used and windows that were leaking.
We began the renovation process by scraping off the peeling paint and completely removing the rust stains. As we shifted our attention to the staircases, we encountered a challenging task. Coordinating between the metalworking company assisting with the staircase rehabilitation and the facility owners proved to be tricky, but our team handled it skillfully by coordinating time frames and meeting deadlines effectively. We installed decorative wooded linings and stair landings, along with a new coat of paint to completely revitalize the two staircases. The rest of the facility also underwent a transformation with a fresh coat of paint. Additionally, we stained the surrounding wooden fences and applied weather stripping to the doors, as well as weather sealing to the windows to enhance energy efficiency. To add a unique touch to the building’s appearance, we decided to remove the decorative rock and opted for more creative design choices. Our team brought in talented muralists to create a custom wall featuring the company’s QR code, adding an artistic touch to the front stairs with composite planking, making the facility stand out in a captivating way.
This building did not bear any structural similarities to standard commercial facilities in the surrounding area, as it is completely custom. As a result, there were constant change orders made in order to fully capture the vision that the customer wanted. Despite this, our team was able to power through and make it happen.
The project took four months on and off to complete.
