Wallpaper Removal Services in St. Augustine, FL
Removing outdated wallpaper can make a dramatic difference in the appearance of a room, but the process is often more involved than simply peeling material from the wall. CertaPro Painters® of St. Augustine provides professional wallpaper removal services to help homeowners prepare interior walls for a fresh, updated finish. Our team can remove wallpaper, address remaining adhesive, and prepare the underlying surface for repainting. Whether you’re updating one room or removing wallpaper throughout your home, careful preparation helps create a smoother, more consistent final result.
A professional wallpaper removal service will often include each of the following steps:
Remove Wallpaper
We remove old wallpaper by gently lifting the paper so we do not damage the walls of your home.
Drywall Repair
Repair surface abrasions and other imperfections and smooth the surface with a skim coat and sanding.
Prepare & Paint
The wall is cleaned and a fresh coat of paint primer is applied. Then, if you are choosing a new wall color, the new paint color is applied.
Amazing customer service and attentiveness! The attention to detail regarding color was phenomenal and the actual painting was done by perfectionists! A great company, highly recommended!

Wallpaper Removal Before Interior Painting
Many homeowners choose to remove wallpaper as part of a larger interior painting project. Once the wallpaper and adhesive are gone, a fresh paint color can completely modernize the space.
CertaPro Painters® of St. Augustine can help streamline the process by handling both the wallpaper removal and the painting that follows. This allows the project to move from preparation to finished walls without requiring separate contractors.
Whether you’re replacing a dated pattern with a neutral paint color or planning a completely new interior palette, professional preparation helps create a cleaner foundation for the update.
Wallpaper Removal for Different Rooms
Wallpaper may be found throughout a home, particularly in older kitchens, bathrooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, hallways, and entryways.
Each room can present different challenges. Bathrooms and kitchens may have additional moisture or residue, while older spaces may have multiple wallpaper layers or more delicate wall surfaces underneath.
Our team evaluates the condition of each area and adjusts the removal and preparation process accordingly.

Other Residential Painting Services
Brick Painting and Staining
Bricks are commonly used in the deep south for their ability to withstand tropical moisture and weather while looking great. Over time though, they can loose their vibrant color, especially outdoors. UV rays and heat can leach the color from the stone if you don't step in to help. This is where our painters come in with brick painting services.
