Top 20 in 2020
Highlighting Some of Our Favorite Projects
Ready to make a change?
Although 2020 was a difficult year for many reasons, there were still a lot of good things that happened and we are grateful for our customers. That’s our Top 20 in 2020. Throughout the year, the CertaPro Painters of SW Metro team handled big jobs and small jobs – but never small customers. We, the CertaPro Painters of SW Metro staff and our crews, were very thankful for our customers this year.
We put together this collection of 20 projects from 2020 to look back and appreciate the work we’ve done for our amazing customers.
When COVID-19 restrictions closed this small boutique mall, the owner made the best of the situation and used this time to repaint the building. With customers unable to visit until restrictions lifted, the owner was eager to welcome them back with a fresh coat of paint.
The owners of this building were having their tenant move out. Before our paint job, the building was very industrial looking and needed a warmer, more welcoming space for the new tenant moving in.
New Homeowners, Old Friends
The new owners of this home had a few projects they needed done to make their home move-in ready. The couple had worked with the CertaPro Painters of SW Metro team before, this being their fourth project with us! Our team was eager to help with this, and the project ended up being a favorite of the crews’.
Working with the homeowners was a real treat for our crew. They kept the refrigerator stocked with soda and water, deli meats and cheeses, fruit and some vegetables. There was also coffee, donuts and chips and a few frozen pizzas. Our team ate pretty well for the week!
The popcorn was removed from the ceiling and a knockdown texture was applied. A wall in the kitchen was removed to improve the space. All the walls in the house were repaired if needed and given a fresh coat of paint.
Breakfast Is Served
This exterior painting project was for a lovely elderly couple who bonded instantly with the CertaPro Painters of SW Metro crew. Each morning the couple prepared a breakfast spread for our crew – eggs, ham, toast and a different type of fresh muffins each day!
When deciding on a painter for her interior project, this customer looked no further than CertaPro Painters of SW Metro. The customer’s parents are previous customers of ours, who we actually ran into down in Fort Myers Beach last year! Turns out, we both have second home’s in the area. Small world!
These homeowners wanted their home improvement projects taken care of prior to moving into their new home. They loved the area and wanted to freshen up the home and give it a brighter feel. Our team enameled all the woodwork in the interior and painted the ceilings and walls. We finished ahead of schedule and they were able to move in early, allowing them to save a month’s rent from where they were staying.
The owner of CertaPro Painters of SW Metro, Kelly Morlock, used to work with this homeowner 20 years ago. The couple have lived in this home for 30 years and finally hired someone new to paint. Sara Morlock gave the customers a free color consultation to help them pick the perfect color to brighten up their home’s exterior.
This neighborhood was built in the mid 90’s, where all of the homes were built with natural brick fronts – until now! This is the first house seen when entering the neighborhood, so of course we wanted to paint it to bring new life to the area. We used a new product from Sherwin Williams that is actually a stain that works with porous surfaces and has great color. Many neighbors stopped by on their walks and spoke to the owners, and they approved!
This customer wanted to improve the Fairway Appeal to his home. To make sure we got the color just right, Sara Morlock took special care of the customers and provided an expert color consultation. The neighbors and golfers love the new look!
Irresistible Interior Update
These homeowners were in the market to sell their home, and wanted to do so without updating their home’s interior color scheme. After discussing this with their realtor, they quickly realized a fresh coat of paint would increase the appeal of their home, making it easier to sell. After the painting project was completed and the home went up on the market – it sold within 3 days!
After living with Honey Oak for 25 years, these homeowners wanted a new gray for their kitchen cabinets. This new gray being, Sherwin Williams SW-7030 Anew Gray. After seeing the amazing outcome, the customers want all of their trim enameled as well! If You Give A Mouse A Cookie.
Ice Rink Upgrade
During the COVID-19 pandemic shutdowns, this ice rink wasn’t open to the public. However, it was open for our painters with our strict safety precautions in place.
Before our work began, this home had multiple textures and dreary colors. Our team gave the home a monochromatic look with all of the textures being white with a black trim. It was a great project in the beginning of spring.
Fourth Time’s The Charm
This project was our fourth job working with this Commercial customer. Before our work, this walkway looked like a big train. After a little sandblasting to the pedestals and painted some lively colors, it looks beautiful.
Someone once told me, ‘If you change one thing, it changes everything’. Our team only painted the trim and it gave the entire exterior a new look.
These customers were a sister and brother who took over the family business and inherited this lakehouse. After a few years of updating the business buildings, it was time to update The Lakehouse. To get rid of the 80’s look, they brought in a nice, clean white for the exterior and painted the windows and doors a deep gray for contrast. The shutters were built and painted for a cottage look. New lights were installed. We also painted the Boathouse had to match. When we were done, the home has beautiful Lake Appeal.
Boat Rides & Big Breakfasts
This project was a lake home in Wisconsin. Before working with us, the owner had a previous painter/handyman put stain over mold and the home was sandblasted in the fall 2019. The job took 3 days overall and the results look magnificent.
This project was this crew’s favorite project, they took over the empty house with the full refrigerator. The owner’s granddaughter and 2 friends are excellent cooks who prepared big breakfasts, good lunches and amazing dinners. The Job Site Supervisor’s phone always ate first. The crew also enjoyed boat rides and sunrises.
First Of The Season
This project was our first exterior painting project of the 2020 season. With the COVID-19 pandemic just starting, we were unsure of how the season was going to go. Sara Morlock worked with the customers, following COVID-19 safety precautions, to choose the perfect color. It was a beautiful project to start the season.
The homeowners bought this house in November 2019. There was some hail damage in the fall and the insurance company would honor the repairs to the new owners in 2020, with an original insurance payout a little over $2,500. Our team met with the adjuster in the spring and we talked about what was needed to make the house look like it did prior to the hail damage. We submitted our proposal to the customer and the insurance company. With our help, we were able to have the insurance company change the amount to a little over $9,000. After working with Sara Morlock on a color consultation, the homeowners decided to change colors and pay a little extra. It is fresh, clean, fixed and looks beautiful.
House On The Hill
The homeowner was so happy to have his house painted. He was grateful and kept a refrigerator well stocked with sodas, water and snacks for the crew. When the project was finished, the homeowner was so happy with the new look that he rushed out to get new outdoor lights to better display his home. The house is located on top of a hill in a cul-de-sac, the combination of the new color and display of lights look amazing!
