Residential Repair and Paint Job

Project: These Eden Prairie homeowners had significant hail damage on their recently purchased home. The CertaPro Painters of SW Metro team met with the adjuster and we walked the property with the homeowners to assess the damage and come to a mutual understanding of the project scope and painting process. Due to the hail damage, there was some carpentry work needed on a time/materials basis, which came to an approximate cost of $650.00. We couldn’t just paint the few boards and do touch ups to the hail damaged areas with the original paint color, as it had faded over the years. Our team explained to the homeowners that we would have to prime the new boards and the hail damaged areas prior to painting from corner to corner with 2 coats for good coverage and protection.

Result: There were two sides of the home to be painted. Our estimate for the two sides and carpentry included trim and optioned the rest of the house with each substrate itemized. There was no confusion over what was to be covered under insurance and what would be paid for by the homeowners, since they were changing the color scheme. The adjuster agreed to re-do the insurance payout and we started painting. After all of our hard work, the house turned out beautiful!
