Q: We just bought a house, and it has popcorn ceilings. I HATE POPCORN CEILINGS! Do you remove popcorn ceilings?

A: Yes, we remove popcorn ceilings, and it is a messy and time-consuming job. After the popcorn is removed, there will be seams, pockmarks, dings, gouges, ridges, lines and shallow screw craters. These areas will need to be skimmed and sanded (possibly multiple times) prior to the knockdown texture application. Then it is primed and painted. Getting there is messy and time-consuming, but when the job is complete, it looks beautiful.
