Gated Community Re-Painting in Westport, CT

Project:  The Lansdowne is a gated community of top-of-the-line condominiums located in the town of Westport, Connecticut.  The project consisted of a full repaint of all areas around the homes in the 200 Section of the complex. All siding and trim surfaces were included in the preparation and painting.  CertaPro also included the chimney caps.

Process:  The CertaPro Painters crew washed the homes with an environmentally safe cleaning solution to remove mold, mildew, and loose paint while making sure to preserve the top-notch landscaping around the homes. Once washed and left to dry, the crew returned to begin preparation by sanding, scraping, applying wood filler, and additional sanding until all surfaces were smooth and free of failing paint.  After levels of preparation were completed and signed off, CertaPro then applied the specified primers and top-coats. As an added Covid-19 safety element, at the end of each day the CertaPro crew sprayed their ladders, tools, and porta-potty with Shockwave, a CDC approved cleaning agent, which is proven to kill COVID-19 and other viruses.

Products Used: Primer: Sherwin Williams exterior oil primer A-100; Siding: Sherwin Williams WoodScapes solid stain; Trim: Sherwin Williams WoodScapes solid stain; Power-Wash Cleaning Agent: Zinsser JoMaxx house cleaner and mildew killer; Sanitizing Solution: Fiberlock Shockwave sanitizer.

Results: This phase of the project included a total of 31 condo units. Total time on site from start-up to completion and sign-off was 25 days.  Zero complaints were registered from tenant shareholders.
