Residential Interior Painting Case Study in Corydon, IN
In May 2024, we were hired to repaint the interior of a home in Corydon. Before starting, the mustard yellow color was not very flattering or inviting. The color made the rooms feel claustrophobic and certain rooms such as the laundry room had areas where paint was chipped.
For this project, we had to clean the surface prior to painting, fill cracks, fix gaps in the walls and ceilings, use caulk, prime the walls before painting, sand, and carefully smooth out the surfaces being painted. This project’s special challenges included sanding and caulking. In order to give the living space a smooth finish, our painters had to trim and sand the walls. They also had to fill in any structural cracks or divets in the trim, ceilings, and/or walls. Our team was up for the challenge and worked with the components. The project required heavy grit sand paper to level any burrs on the surface being painted as well as caulk and filling for repairs and any cracks on the surface.
In 3-4 days, we transformed this building and made it even more alluring! The homeowner wanted to mention that the before pictures are in yellow and the after pictures are in Drift of Mist. We got another happy customer! See the transformation below.
