Looking for an exterior paint with great color retention? Keep reading.

Permanizer is a great exterior product from PPG (Porter Paints) that can be applied on many different surfaces, such as brick and hardy board, and it has great color retention for PPG colors. PPG recommends priming brick prior to applying Permanizer, and it claims that it is self-priming on wood or hardy board.

Recommended applications and considerations:

  • Wait 2 hours between coats
  • Permanizer is a color temperature paint and should be applied on substrate down to 35 degrees (surface temperature over 24 hour period)
  • The exterior product is mildew resistant
  • Comes with a lifetime warranty
